In 2021, after creating quilt tops for about 25 years, I decided it was time to take the next step: quilting those very tops. I began my journey with a straight-stitch domestic sewing machine and enrolled in quilting classes. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize that a longarm machine would be a better fit for my aspirations.

Enter the Infinity 26" longarm machine by Handi Quilter—a game-changer. As I honed my skills at my local dealer’s location, fate intervened. An employee was relocating, and the store needed assistance. I eagerly accepted the position offered by the owner, who happened to be an HQ (Handi Quilter) educator with decades of experience.

Under the guidance of Nanc Christopherson from the Longarm Quilting Academy, I delved into the intricacies of the business. Over a year and a half, I absorbed knowledge, techniques, and the artistry of longarm quilting from Nanc and others who visited her store. Eventually, my own business flourished, and I became an award-winning quilter, providing customized longarm quilting services to fellow enthusiasts.

Story
Meet the Business Owner
Having called the DFW area home since 1985, my passion for quilting ignited in the early '90s. It all began when I laid eyes on a stunning homemade quilt crafted by my sister-in-law. That moment sparked my determination—I had to learn how to create my own quilts.

When I was young, people used to question my interest, wondering why I wanted to quilt. “Isn’t it just grandmas who quilt?” they’d ask. But I knew better. Quilting knows no age or boundaries. It’s an art form that transcends generations. If you’ve never attended a quilt show, I encourage you to do so. Witness the awe-inspiring works on display—pieces that defy the traditional image of our grandmas’ quilts.

So, whether you’re a seasoned quilter or a curious beginner, embrace the joy of quilting. Each stitch weaves a story, and every quilt becomes a masterpiece.
